Our History

Since its inception in 1987, SharonPly has been at the forefront of many innovative and pioneering ventures. Being the first plywood manufacturer to have been awarded the ISO-9002 and ISO-14001 certifications, the brand also has the unique distinction of being the only manufacturer to export quality plywood to Japan, considered to be the leading country in Plywood technology.

SharonPly has its chief manufacturing facility at Gummidipoondi, near Chennai. This green product certified facility is built with the state-of-the-art technology and international standard for safety and security. SharonPly has a solar panelled captive power plant with a capacity of 1056 KV that saves around 1.5 million units of power annually.

A milestone year!

SharonPly became the only plywood brand to incorporate the pioneering Kyoto technology and to begin exporting plywood to quality conscious markets abroad. Introduction of Double press Technology

2002, Inauguration of Madanlal Khemani Vivekananda Vidyalaya

As a part of CSR activities a school on 4 acres of land was established in Gummidipoondi which has a strength of 1600 students now.

SharonPly stepped into the world of aesthetic interiors with Sharon Veneers.
